Autumn Year 501 | The heat has broken, and the trees of the Valley begin their transition from emerald to citrine and rubine. The temperatures steadily drop as the progression of Autumn claims all of the Slidr River Valley and plunges it into the hallowed solstace. Snow already weightlessly falls from the sky on cold nights - especially to the North and West. The Laurel Alps and Frior Mountain Range begin the process of wrapping themselves in thick white blankets of snow, leaving the once purple snowcapped border of the continent a stark white crescendo on the horizon. To the East, the heat wave has finally broken. The staggering temperatures have fallen simply from the harsh miles of wind sweeping from the mountainous vales and into the bowl of the desert. Those huddling in the Frekr Oasis for salvation will find the nights frigid. Best light the plinth fires and stock up for the winter, for it is just around the corner.

Companion: Kaheia's companion is a raven by the name of Ziah. The birds coloration is that of a normal ravens, black with the slight tinge of blue they're known for. She's a bit snarky and sarcastic most of the time but is known to be a coward.

Kaheia is a brute of a mare, standing at a height of 19.2 hands and weighing in at a massive 1900 lbs. Her skeletal frame is wrapped in layers of thick, hearty muscle. Her body is decorated in a buckskin coat, the color rich in tone and saturation. Lighter dapples of cream hues run along her shoulders and haunches giving her a sweet appearance. Her mane runs wild and long down her neck, tangled and flowing like shadows across a canvas. Her tail flows behind her, thick and painted the color of obsidian.

Her eyes are a bright topaz hue, glimmering like gemstones in her stern facial features. Feathering runs from her hooves appearing as if she had dipped her legs in a vat of ink. Her muzzle is of a similar color, the velvety black tones fading up her face back into her buckskin hide. The same flow follows her ears, their onyx coloration fading back into her buckskin coat as they reach her neck. A long sharp horn runs up from the center of her skull, wickedly sharp like a dagger of bone. Its golden color matching that of her buckskin coat. Her gait is solid and weighted, hardly wavering even in rocky terrain as her hooves find the proper footing to keep her aloft. Her voice runs like thick scotch whisky and burns all the same when she's angered. Her expression is stern and fierce, like the high winds of the roaring plains.
Kaheia is a mare of stone, strong and sturdy. She is able to stand tall among those who would falter with dignity and poise. A disciplined mare who doesn't stray from her own ideals. One to hold themselves accountable and to not allow self deception to creep into her soul. An earnest creature who believes in earning your place and competing against only yourself. To strive for personal happiness and not materialistic belongings.

Although wishful wanderings of her mind is common she is a firm mare, like the boulders that withstand the ocean waves. She belongs to the warriors of Valhalla and fights with honor and valor. A brawler but not in malice. Even so she is a compulsive mare, often taking action to quickly for the reason in her mind to try and speak. In this she is quick to anger, like the lightning of thunderous storm. She does not forgive easily and keeps her distance from most. Friends are few and far in between for her and rarely does she allow someone to get to close to her. Enemies are far easier for her to deal with as they require nothing more than harsh words and a fighting spirit.
Kaheia was born into an outside family full of hushed whispers and fireside nights. Honest working and having enough but never to much. Nurturing love between mother and father that passed down to their daughter. Knowing smiles and laughing eyes often accompanied her life, giving her more love than that could fill a filly's heart. Her family kept a secret from the rest of their kind, the secret of magic that lived within them. Her father, the user of flame and wit and her mother in which metal bowed before her will. Kaheia's magic was that of earth, the ground trembling beneath her feet when she was within her youth. Keeping it hidden and below her, hardly ever used.

They lived within the Kingdom of Eskana, her mother a woman of buckskin coloration in the shade of pale moonlight. Blond mane and tail with fair of eyes, a gorgeous mare by the name of Sarakiel. Her father, an ashen stallion of onyx mane and tail with golden eyes. A powerful draft horse much like his wife by the name of Ophanim. They lived in harmony for several years, hiding their magic from everyone. The Kingdom hated the use of arcana or magic, proclaiming it was an act against the gods, that the demons tempted those with arcana to use it for evil. Although her family used their magic for good, they still held a small hatred for how they were preached. Kaheia herself was fearful of her own powers, scared as to what it would entail or bring to her family. And so, they kept it hidden.

Of course powers like her families never went unnoticed forever. Those hushed whispers and fireside nights turned cold and quiet, and laughing eyes turned to worry. They hid within their home, afraid of the scorned looks and the eventual time they were claimed by the state. They came like a thief in the night, appearing at their door in a routine check. Their guards were down, the soldiers acting as normal before all hell broke loose. They begin to attack, stealing her parents away and forcing Kaheia to run. Her legs carrying her farther away from the flames of her father. Away from her mothers shrapnel that downed guards faster than what her hooves could do. The battle was fierce, and she would never know if either of her parents had survived.

She was unaware of where she was going to run too, only that her birthday had just passed her into adulthood and that she was alone.

Locked Powers: These are abilities that she will eventually be able to learn, however she is not capable of using them at the moment due to her not being a high enough level or has not discovered them in a thread.


Apprentice: These are low level spells she knows, they are often easy to avoid or do minimal damage. They require low amounts of energy to use and she can often be fully mobile while using these spells. These spells can generally be used as many as 10 times without repercussions.

Tremor: With a stomp of her hoof she is able to cause a slight tremor in the ground. It's not enough to shake any creature larger than a fox to the ground but can shake loose fruit, nuts, or leaves down from trees. It extends 5 feet in any direction from her body in a circle and can be felt by most creatures that are smaller than an elephant. She can move around while using this power but the power stays in the area where she stomped her hoof in the first place. The tremor only lasts for a few seconds.

Rock Shower (lvl 1): With concentration she is able to lift pebbles and loose dirt from the ground into the air and release it, allowing it to fall at what ever normal pace it would take for them to reach the ground. Not particularly painful, but noticeable and distracting. The loose, dust like dirt can get into eyes and cause irritation within nasal or oral passages. The reach she has is only 5 feet in any direction from her body, but packed earth and plants cannot be uprooted. The pebbles and earth avoid touching the user. While using this power she can only pivot, she cannot move a foot in any direction or the earth will fall cannot rise around her. This power only takes a few seconds.

Sense Ore: By reaching out with her mind she can sense where any metal is located. She can tell if it is considered a precious metal (such as silver, or gold) if she isn't moving. Otherwise she can tell what metal is beneath her hooves or around her, whether it be steel or copper. This power isn't set to any time limit and moves with her as she moves. She can only sense as far as she can see surface wise, and can sense as deeply as she wants. If used for to long however it can cause a migraine from sensory overload.

Sense Jewels: Similar to sensing metal she can reach out with her mind and sense where any precious stone is located. By standing still she can tell where precious jewels are such as diamonds or rubies. Otherwise she can tell what kind of stones are beneath and around her such as tigers eye and red beryl. This power isn't set to any time limit and moves with her as she moves. She can only sense as far as she can see surface wise, and can sense as deeply as she wants. If used for to long however it can cause a migraine from sensory overload.



Adept: These are slightly higher level spells she knows, they are a little more difficult to avoid and can do some damage. They require some energy and she can move a little bit while using these spells. These spells generally can be used up to 4 times with almost no repercussions, any more than that and it begins to take a slight toll on her. These powers can be joined with Apprentice spells with no repercussions.

Surface: She can now pull any jewels, precious stones, and metal less than 10lbs up from where ever she senses it within the earth. She cannot move while doing this and it can take several minutes depending on how deep it is and what materials are around it. This power can only be used for half an hour at a time, and if used more than a couple of times can cause migraines. Once a precious stone, jewel, or hunk of metal is upon the surface, and the power has ended, it can be manipulated by any type of arcana or the surrounding area. That means if she pulls it up through a lava pit it will burn up once it has surfaced.

Gleam: She can polish and refine any earthen material. Precious stones can be shaped in any way she sees fit and metal can be refined. Jewels can be shattered into different cuts and shapes. Regular stones can be worn down as if they were river stones and sheets of rock can be separated into types if sedimentary. She cannot move while doing this, however this can be used as often as she wishes. She can become tired if used for extensive periods of time however and the power normally only takes a minute to preform.

Levitate: She can levitate any type of stone, jewel, or metal so long as it doesn't exceed 10 lbs. She can move slowly while doing this, not going above a trot or her concentration will break. The material cannot move quickly if she is moving, if she is standing still however the material can be thrown at higher speeds. In battle the material can bruise, maybe scratch and cut depending on the material, but no more than that as it doesn't move fast enough. She can use this often, but it is tiring and can cause migraines due to the concentration if overused.

Quake: A stronger version of tremor, with a stomp of her hoof she can cause a stronger tremor along the ground. It can shake medium creatures to their feet and can knock fruit, nuts, leaves, and sticks to the ground from trees. It extends 8 feet in any direction from her body in a circle and can be felt by most creatures. She can be moving while using this power but must be careful not to loose her balance. The power stays in the area from which she originally stomped her hoof. This power lasts for 10 seconds.

Rock Shower (lvl 2): An upgrade to Rock Shower (lvl 1). Larger stones can be picked up along with loose dirt from the ground into the air and released, allowing it to fall at what ever normal pace it would take for them to reach the ground. Can cause light bruising, but nothing devastating. The loose, dust like dirt can get into eyes and cause irritation within nasal or oral passages. The reach she has is 8 feet in any direction from her body, but packed earth and plants cannot be uprooted. The rocks and earth avoid touching the user. While using this power she cannot move or the earth cannot rise around her. This power only takes a few seconds.

Transmute (lvl 1): A spell similar to Gleam, she is able to turn any regular rocks into a metal. She cannot change precious stones or gems into metal nor can she turn regular rocks into precious metal such as gold or silver. She cannot move while preforming this power and it takes concentration to use as she is turning one material into another. She cannot use this power on any rock larger than 10lbs. If used to more than a few times she will being to have a migraine and if used more than that extremely lethargic.



Master: These are powers that she knows of and are stronger than Adept and Apprentice spells by quite a bit. They are able to damage the environment and other creatures but her movement is impeded while preforming these powers. They take a heavier toll on her and can only be used 2 or 3 times before she begins to feel repercussions. They can be used with Apprentice spells without any issues and can be used with Adept spells but fewer times.

Liquefy: A spell similar to Transmute. She is able to turn any form of earth in front of her into mud, lava, quicksand, or regular sand. She can choose the size of this circular patch of earth from 1in to 10ft in diameter. She is able to move while preforming this spell, but nothing faster than a trot and she must be careful not to get herself caught in it. She cannot turn metal, rocks, or jewels into any of the 'liquid' earths and they will simply sit there in the changed earth. The circle, depending on the size, can be anywhere from 3ft deep to 6ft deep. The larger the circle is the more shallow it is. When used to many times she will begin to feel tired and lethargic. Once she is 10ft away from the edge of the circle in any direction the earth will return back to its original state.

Pull: An upgrade to Surface, she is able to pull any jewels, precious stones, and metal less than 20lbs up from where ever she senses it. This means she can pull it from surface stones and within the earth rather than just within the ground. She cannot move while doing this and it can take several minutes depending on how deep it is and what materials are around it. This power can only be used for half an hour at a time, and if used more than a couple of times can cause migraines. Once a precious stone, jewel, or hunk of metal is upon the surface or away from its source, and the power has ended, it can be manipulated by any type of arcana or the surrounding area. That means if she pulls it up through a lava pit it will burn up once it has surfaced.

Maneuver: An upgrade to levitate, she is able to move any type of stone, jewel, or metal so long as it doesn't exceed 20 lbs. She can move slowly while doing this, not going above a walk or her concentration will break. The material cannot move quickly if she is moving, if she is standing still however the material can be thrown at higher speeds. In battle the material can heavily bruise and cut, maybe lacerate depending on the material, but no more than that as it doesn't move fast enough. She can use this a few times, but it is tiring and can cause migraines due to the concentration if overused.

Clot: She is able to control a small patch of earth, pulling it up from the ground and packing it into a wound. This does not heal the wound but rather acts as a patch, ceasing blood loss and preventing infection. She cannot move while doing this and it can only be used for wounds to her flesh. If internal injuries occur that have no pathways to the surface or broken bones form she is unable to use this power to protect them. However if there is broken flesh (not just skin) directly where the damage has taken place, the earth is able to be packed there. It will however take several uses of this power to do so. This power cannot set bones nor does it regenerate flesh.

Rupture: An upgrade to Quake, with a stomp of her hoof she can cause a small earthquake along the ground. This leaves large cracks along the earths surface and can shake large creatures to their feet. This can knock fruit, nuts, leaves, and branches to the ground from trees and large stones from cliff faces. It extends 5 feet in any direction from her body in a circle and can be effect most creatures. She can be moving while using this power but must be careful not to fall to the ground as well. The power stays in the area from which she originally stomped her hoof. This power lasts for a few seconds.

Rock Shower (lvl 3): An upgrade to Rock Shower (lvl 2). Larger stones can be picked up along with loose dirt from the ground into the air and released, however they are released with speed, causing them to fall with extreme speed. Can cause heavy bruising, cuts, and fractures to small bones. The loose, dust like dirt can get into eyes and cause irritation within nasal or oral passages. The reach she has is 8 feet in any direction from her body, and packed earth and plants can be uprooted and used in the power as well. The rocks and earth avoid touching the user. While using this power she cannot move or the earth cannot rise around her. This power only takes a few seconds.

Haven: She is able to create a hide away for herself. When using this power she pulls the earth from around her into a large earth ball, the ground around it formed into a small 1ft trench. This earth can be destroyed and allows for 1 hour of oxygen within it. She is able to do whatever she likes within the earth sphere, but cannot use any other powers within it as the sphere takes most of her magical energy to use.



Virtuoso: These are the strongest powers that she knows of and can be quite damaging to the environment and other creatures. The drawback is that she is unable to move while using these powers. They take a heavier toll on her and can only be once, or maybe twice before she begins to feel repercussions. They cannot be used with Apprentice spells or Adept spells, but occasionally be used with Master spells.

Summon An upgrade to Pull, she is able to pull any jewels, precious stones, and metal less than 20lbs up from where ever she senses it. This means she can pull it from surface stones and within the earth rather than just within the ground. She cannot move while doing this and it can take several minutes depending on how deep it is and what materials are around it. This power can only be used for half an hour at a time, and if used more than a couple of times can cause migraines. Once a precious stone, jewel, or hunk of metal is upon the surface or away from its source it cannot be manipulated by the surrounding area, it can be manipulated by other arcana. That means if she pulls it up through a lava pit it will not burn up once it has surfaced, but if someone else or herself uses arcana it will be affected.

Build: Similar to Haven she is able to build structures with the surrounding earth. She cannot create something from nothing, there must be earth for her to build anything. This power lasts for as long as she is able to physically. When earth is packed on top of itself it can turn into bricks held together with clay that slowly dries over time. This takes lots of time to do and she cannot move or speak while using this power. Extensive use of this power can cause severe migraines and lethargy. If she doesn't pace herself she can go unconscious.

Shatter: An upgrade to Rupture, with stomping her front hooves she can cause a large earthquake along the ground. This leaves large cracks along the earths surface and can cause a small ravine, large enough for small creatures to get stuck in, to form down the center of her two legs. This can shake large creatures to the ground and almost all creatures can feel the earth shaking. This can knock fruit, nuts, leaves, and branches to the ground from trees and avalanche like rocks from cliff faces. It extends 8 feet in any direction from her body in a circle and can effect most creatures. She cannot be moving while using this power and it lasts for a few seconds.

Meteor: An advanced version of Rock Shower. She is able to lift up 4 large pieces of earth under 30lbs (this includes metal, gems, and precious stones) and throw them at high speeds. These pieces of earth can cause heavy bruising, cuts, and break bones depending on where they hit. The earth can be thrown with loose dirt that clings to it and can cause irritation to eyes or within nasal or oral passages. The earth can be throw up to 8 feet in any direction from her body with full force, beyond that the earth's speed decreases and causes less damage. It cannot be thrown more than 13ft away from her. While using this power she cannot move or speak. This power only takes a few seconds.

Transmute (lvl 3): An upgrade to Transmute (lvl 2), she is able to turn any regular rocks into any metal, gem, or precious stone. She cannot change precious stones or gems into metal, but she can turn precious stones into gems and jewels. She cannot move while preforming this power and it takes concentration to use as she is turning one material into another. She cannot use this power on anything larger than 20lbs. If used to more than a few times she will being to have a migraine and if used more than that extremely lethargic.

Geyser: With a stomp of her foot she is able to will volcanic rock (lava) fourth and rupture the ground like a geyser. It avoids touching her but the extreme heat can become uncomfortable, dehydrate her, dry the air, and singe her fur. She can summon this geyser up to 5ft away from herself and cannot move while preforming this power. She is unable to control the lava once it has surface and the power can only last up to a minute. She can will it away sooner than that or leave it to the maximum time. Once the geyser ceases the lava turns into the earth that naturally occurs within the area that she is in, and the hole left from the geyser disappears. This power cannot be used more than twice if she does not want to go unconscious. When used once she will begin to feel tired and need to rest before using this power again.

Rift: By stomping her front hooves she is able to cause a large fracture within the earth. It creates a small chasm that can be anywhere from 3ft deep to 6ft deep. It can run lengthwise as far as her eye can see (generally up to 20ft away in a empty plain) or shorter. She cannot move while preforming the power, but after the chasm has been made she can move freely. This power takes up a lot of energy and she must be careful not to get herself stuck in the rift she has made. After 5 minutes the chasm closes or if she willingly closes it. Anything caught in the chasm will be trapped within the earth in a small bubble similar to her power Haven, for up to an hour if they are unable to claw their way up. Once the hour is up they will be forced up through the bubble like an elevator and be free to go. She is subject to this as well if she gets caught within the chasm, as she cannot move the bubble willingly.
